Wood Heights Fire has been awarded an AFG grant from FEMA. The grant total is in the amount of $33,400. The grant will purchase a brand new air compressor used to fill SCBA bottles for firefighters and also a Scott RIT pack used at all fires in our response area and mutal aid areas. The RIT pack will help ensure firefighter safety and both items are a first ever at the Wood Heights Fire Protection District
1996 Alexis Mini Pumper
Wood Heights Fire Dept has purchased and placed the new mini pumper into service. The new mini pumper was purchased in December 2009 as a add on to our fleet. The new Mini Pumper will be first out for all EMS, MVA, Car Fires & Dumpster Fires. The new pumper will also be 2nd out for Structure Fires, Grass Fires, & any other situations that may entail a 2nd pumper on scene. The New mini pumper is a very big step in the direction to help the citizens of our district improve there ISO rating. The Pumper will be gain us ISO points in reducing everyones overall insurance rating and fee. The new mini pumper is a major step in the direction and goals we are trying to achieve at Wood Heights Fire Dept. We are in the process of remodeling the interior of the station so please excuse our mess.
